Transfer News: Morgan Schneiderlin To Leave Man United for Everton for £22m
Everton have agreed to buy French midfielder, Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United for the sum of £22 million.
The 27-year-old who joined Manchester United under the tutelage of Louis van Gaal from Southampton in July 2015 for £25m has been deemed surplus to requirements by new coach Jose Mourinho.
In total, he donned the Manchester United shirt on the field of play 47 times but was only able to feature eight times under Jose Mourinho this season, which also includes a meagre three Premier League appearances.
Meanwhile, as the transfer market is warming up, his new club, Everton have decided to loan striker Oumar Niasse, 26, to Hull City with personal terms still yet to be agreed.
Niasse who is a Senegalese international had been signed from Lokomotiv Moscow for £13.5m early last year but has made only seven appearances for the club.
Everton coach, Ronald Koeman spoke glowingly about the characteristics of Schneiderlin who has struggled to adapt and stamp his personality on anything at the red devils.
Koeman stated that in spite of that, he gets across the ground well, he can tackle and he gets up and down the pitch and that he isn’t a gamble considering his pedigree from their days at Southampton.
Everton are thought to also be interested in another outcast, Memphis Depay although there is thought to be a battle with other clubs for his signature.
