She said she is 31 years old and that she got married to Evans at the age of 17 at Oraifite, Anambra state in 2004.

Precious told the police how she met Evans and how he lied to her that he was into importing and exporting business.

She said that she never knew that her husband was a kidnapper because the highest money he ever gave her was N200, 000.

Though she described Evans as a very good husband and family man who would never deprive her and the children good standard of life, she never noticed that the man was into kidnapping.

She disclosed to the police that her husband had two houses in Ghana but that the family never stayed in any of them despite that they had been in Ghana for almost six years.

She said, “We always communicate on phone until recent when I could not get across to him again and I called his friend who is in China to know his whereabouts but he said he never heard from him.”

Precious stated that no member of the family, including his five children would ever thought that their father was into kidnapping because they always prayed together.

“My husband pray together with us every morning. We have morning devotion and he always reads Psalm 23 to round up the prayer,” she said.

Precious who sounded emotional on phone called the police authority to show mercy on her husband because of the family as she also proposed that all his properties be sold with the proceeds given to poor people.
