Notorious Kidnapper: How Nnewi Monarch Destroyed Evans Charms
There are new facts that a traditional Monarch in Nnewi, the home town of the notorious kidnapper, Chukwudidumeme George Onwuamadike alias Evans cursed him and made his arrest possible.
Our correspondent who was at Nnewi during the week learnt that the monarch (Names withheld) had invited the spiritualist who was making charms for Evans to his palace to break the potency of the kidnapper’s power but the herbalist refused to present himself.
Before the invitation, it was gathered that the town had experienced various cases of abduction with many of it pointed towards Evans and his gangs.
The monarch with some members of the traditional council, according to findings went round all the communities in Nnewi with their deities to curse those kidnapping prominent sons/daughters of the town.
It was gathered that one of the chiefs in the community the Ikenga Nnewi was abducted by Evans group and was later abandoned in a bush after a serious chase by the police.
Ikenga, it was learnt takes care of the community shrine and following his abduction, he cursed the kidnappers and their leader Evans, who had since run to Lagos to hide.
Despite all the rituals, Evans’ native doctor in his home town Nnewi assured him that he would never be caught. He was said to have prepared charms for him to counter the curses placed by the monarch and chiefs and told the kingpin to carry on with his life.
“Few days after the curse, Evans was arrested and their abduction camp in Nnewi got burnt,” a source said.
