Former captain of the super eagles of Nigeria, Joseph Yobo is to come out of retirement to play for a local club in the Nigerian Premier League.

The League Management Company (LMC) announced this as a part of its Elite Player Scheme in the NPFL Framework and Rules which allow a club in the top division to sign “a maximum of two players who in the LMC’s opinion will add value to the league”.

There are just 12 rounds left of the 2015/2016 season and about 4 clubs have indicated interest in signing the former Everton player.
