I Can Never Work With Modu-Sheriff
Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has reiterated his decision to quit the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP if the National Chairman of the party, Ali Modu Sheriff wins at the Supreme Court.
Fayose said on Channels Television Friday evening that he would never work with Sheriff, adding, Let us wait for the outcome of Supreme Court judgment and if Sheriff eventually emerges as the PDP National Chairman, I, Ayodele Fayose, Osokomole will never work with him.”
He said that he regretted his association with Modu Sheriff in the first place as he lamented that the legally recognized PDP chairman was working for the All Progressives Party, APC but not the PDP.
As he put it, “If you are dating a girl for marriage and you later realise that she has HIV, nobody will tell you to run. You will run. That is exactly who Sheriff is. He is an impostor, a desperado who wants to lead by force.”
Fayose was reacting to the action of Modu Sheriff at the meeting organized by ex-president Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
Modu-Sheriff had stormed out of the meeting, alleging the convener of usurping his role as the party National Chairman and that he would not be a part to such gathering.
Modu Sheriff had wanted to address the meeting in his capacity as the PDP National Chairman but the conveners, including the Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees and other bigwigs thought it was against the agenda.
Senator Sherif had walked out on the leaders but speaking on the television, Fayose said it was wrong for Modu Sheriff to walk out on those he wanted to lead.
“You can see, Modu Sheriff is an impossible character and a serial plotter. Anybody supporting Sheriff is an enemy of Nigeria,” he said.
