Hoodlums Kill 2 Herdsmen in Anambra
There are strong indications that two herdsmen have been killed by some hoodlums in Umuoba-Anam, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The herdsmen Musa Bello Nuhu (26) and Adamu Aruna (32) left home to graze their cattle but never returned, according to investigation.
After serious searching by their relatives, their clothes and shoes were found in the bush with blood stains on it.
Speaking, the South East leader of Cattle Breeders Association, also known as (Miyetti-Allah), Alhaji Sadiq Gidado, said that the parents of the victims had been in trauma since the sudden disappearance of their children.
He said that the association wanted to know the whereabouts of the two herdsmen either they had been killed by their abductors or alive.
Meanwhile, the Anambra State Police Command had arrested six people over the matter as search continues to know what really happened to the two Fulani Herdsmen.
Recently the association of the herdsmen signed peace accord with the state government but the renewed hostility might cause another tribal clash in Anambra.
“If they were killed, all we want to see is their bodies and we will be satisfied. I don’t know why some people want to cause trouble after the peace accord we signed with the state government and security operatives in Anambra State,” Gidado said.
Father of one of the victims, a 60-year-old Alhaji Bello Nuhu told our correspondent that his son was the bread winner for the family and now that he had been killed, things would be hard for him.
He said that the clothes and shoes of his son had since been recovered with blood stains, suggesting that the young man had been killed.
Also brother to the second victim, a 40-year-old Haruna Hassan, described the killing of his brother as wicked act.
