Former HoS ‘Moses Gwom’, Two Others Murdered In Plateau
Unknown Assailants have killed former Head of Service in Plateau State, Mr Moses Gwom and two other persons at Wereh village, Dorowa in Barkin Ladi local government area of the State.
The gunmen stormed the area Tuesday night, according to the investigation to shoot dead their victims who were coming from a meeting.
Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mathias Tyopev said, “Yes, there was an issue in Barkin Ladi.
He said that a former Head of Service was killed at about 8pm, adding that investigation is currently going on to track down the gunmen.
It was gathered that a soldier was killed in the incident but the police PRO refused to comment on this.
However, the spokesman of Operation Safe Haven, Capt. Adam Umar explained, “I’m not aware of any incident for now. I’ll find out and get back to you.”
As at Wednesday, the residents of the area were still stunned as some of them gathered in groups to discuss the issue.
A resident who refused to mention his name told our correspondent that nowhere and nobody is safe anymore in the country.
