FG TO BEGIN CAMPAIGN TO ENCOURAGE PATRONAGE OF MADE IN NIGERIA GOODS

In a move that has been long overdue, the Federal government is about to begin a campaign to encourage the public to patronise made in Nigeria goods.

The effects of the campaign are expected to be seen in the creation of jobs for Nigerians, conserve foreign exchange and thereby boosting economic growth.

This has resulted in the commencement of the National Industrial Revolution Plan (NIRP), by the Federal government.

This information was part of an address by Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, the minister of Budget and National Planning, in Abuja on Monday during the inauguration of the Joint National Planning Committee for the 22nd Nigeria Economic Summit (NES#22).

He also stated that the government has made plans to operationalise industrial parks and therefore increase manufacturing capacity in the country.
