DSS Arrest Four Fleeing Boko Haram Terrorists in Ifako/Ijaiye Lagos
No fewer than four persons believed to be members of dreaded Boko Haram insurgence have been arrested in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.
The operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS said this on Tuesday, saying that the fleeing terrorists were apprehended while trying to hide in the area.
DSS also said that it arrested some suspected terrorists in Kogi, Taraba and Nasarawa States at the same period.
In a statement signed by Tony Opuiyo, the DSS spokesman, the effort of the law enforcement agent towards curbing kidnapping and terrorism is getting results as more syndicates are being arrested.
According to the statement, the DSS gave the identities of the arrested terrorists at Ifako Ijaiye Local Government as Amina Abubakar, Bukar Hassan, Kologoni Bukar and Butame Hassan.
“The four were apprehended at Oko-Oba, Ifako-Ijaiye LGA of Lagos State early on Tuesday,” the statement said.
The suspects, according to investigation fled from their Sambisa Forest base to Lagos due to the capture of their hideouts in the Northeastern part of the country.
Same day at Okene town, Adavi LGA, Kogi State, the leader of the Boko Haram sect in Okene, Abdullahi Mohammed aka Huja, was arrested.
